Smart will offer a pure-electric model of each car in its line-up, with 3 new cars due in September 2017. The urban runabouts will have a range of 96 and 99 miles, but considering they are designed for small trips in built up areas, they will be perfect for the city dweller.
The E-Golf is going to get a significantly improved battery pack, boosting range by almost 50%. The brand new quoted range will be 186 miles, bringing the e-Golf up to speed with the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq Electric and BMW i3.
