The 2024 Volvo XC90 Recharge Core is powered by a 455-hp plug-in-hybrid engine. It is equipped with a 14.9-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and 3.7-kW on-board charger. The engine is attached to an All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Recharge Core accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds on a good test track. The XC90 Recharge netted an EPA-rated 66 MPGe. It can also go for as far as 36 miles on battery power, according to the EPA.

In front of the 2024 Volvo XC90 Hybrid is a tablet-like 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is offered with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability; a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot is optional.
