2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Features, Specs and Details

 Toyota Corolla hatchback model replaces the Toyota Corolla iM car model. The new Corolla is sold under the Auris name in Europe. The 2019 Corolla hatchback is an improved jewel ready to challenge and beat its competitors like Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Golf hatchbacks which are the Most popular car on sale in Europe.

Toyota has relied upon its principle: Reliability. Practicality. Durability for the last 20 years. Recently, the Japanese automaker's president, Akio Toyoda,  declared that  his company (Toyota) will no longer build boring cars. Does the new 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback fulfill his corporate mission? It is  powered by a new Dynamic Force 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine shared with the Lexus UX. Output for the new engine is rated at 168 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque, which puts it well ahead of the outgoing Corolla iM, b. The 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback has upto seven exterior color options. In the interior, the front seats have been redesigned and made more comfortable. The SE trim has fabric seats, while the XSE trim has combination leather.


Trims and Coupes

Two trims are offered by this model: Corolla SE and Corolla XSE. The latter is more visually attractive than the former

Engine and Transmission

The Corolla hatchback has an all-new 2.0L inline four-cylinder dynamic-force engine with new dynamic-shift CVT with paddle shifters and a new six-speed intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT). Output for the new engine is rated at 168 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. Both the base SE and loaded XSE trims are offered with manual transmission or continuously variable transmission. The SE CVT gets an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg/city, 38 mpg/highway, and 32 mpg/combined. The XSE CVT gets 37 mpg/city, 38 mpg/highway, and 33 mpg/combined.

Tech Features and Other Properties

It is  fitted with Safety Sense 2.0, a suite of active safety features meant to keep you out of harm's way. It includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (which will bring you to a full stop in traffic when equipped with the CVT), Lane Departure Alert and Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, Lane Tracing Assist, and Road Sign Assist. Furthermore, Toyota hasn't forgotten about entertaining people inside the cabin, and has fitted Corolla with a new infotainment system on an 8-inch touchscreen.



Entune 3.0 comes standard on all Corolla Hatchbacks, and includes Amazon Alexa Connectivity,       Apple CarPlay, App Suite Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, and Siri Eyes Free in addition to the typical assortment of Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary ports, and voice recognition. Entune 3.0 Audio Plus, which comes equipped on XSE models, adds HD radio, weather/traffic alerts, and other connected services. Top-rung XSE CVT models include an upgraded, eight-speaker JBL audio system pumped up to 800 watts.

Outside, the Corolla Hatchback is lower, wider, and shorter than the outgoing Corolla iM, with more distance between the axles and in its track. This lower design makes the Corolla Hatchback prettier than the Corolla iM. Its body has also been shifted rearward, producing a shorter front overhang but a larger rear.
