Almighty Toyota Does Not Sell Electric Cars, What a Shame

I was shocked to learn that Toyota does not sell pure electric cars. I thought Toyota was very close to perfect, then I found this huge embarrassing weakness of the brand. The closest to a green car Toyota offers is a Hybrid Car which is simply a car  that uses more than one means of propulsion - that means combining a petrol or diesel engine with an electric motor. The main advantages of a hybrid are that it should consume less fuel and emit less CO2 than a comparable conventional petrol or diesel-engined vehicle.
However hybrid cars have relatively higher maintenance cost. Frankly, most people think Toyota is lame when it comes to Green Cars (Environmentally Friendly Cars). No wonder all the cars in Africa are Toyota Cars because in Africa everything is accepted. What is more interesting is that Toyota gives very funny excuses for not selling pure electric cars. The simple fact is that Toyota’s market for gasoline and diesel cars is thriving and even getting bigger mostly in less developed countries so why bother?
